Phonograph Cylinder! They are the earliest commercial medium for recording and reproducing sound. Simply put – they are records! They were invented in 1877 and were most popular between 1896-1915. Pretty crazy to see how much music has changed over the years! Who knows, maybe these will make a comeback like vinyl has!
