There is a lot of great outdoor fun to be had at Twin Lakes!

Camping- We camped at White Star because you could reserve ahead. Great spot!

Twin Lakes is a very small town, but I recommend stopping by their visitor center. It’s like a mini museum and also has helpful recommendations on hikes and places to see.

Two different ways you can get there from Grand Junction. Take the route through Leadville, or if you’re feeling slightly more adventurous, take Independence Pass, which connects Twin Lakes and Aspen. It is a beautiful drive, but keep in mind, there are areas where the road is very narrow and a few spots where you’re driving inches from the cliff.
